Fifty years of an island that never stopped dreaming.

Fifty years of an island that never stopped dreaming.

The Children of an Endless Dream is a feature documentary on Ios, the Cycladic island that drew the free spirited from the 1970s on, and on FarOut, the club that has sat at the centre of that story for more than fifty years. Directed by Aris Katsigiannis, it traces how a generation of travellers shaped the island and how the island shaped them.

We worked with Aris and the FarOut team on the film's on screen language. Shiftworks designed the supers: the title cards, name plates and typographic moments that carry the documentary, drawn in a hand that sits between a sun bleached poster and a private diary. The lettering had to feel of the era without turning into pastiche, warm and a little worn, always legible over the footage.

From that title system we built the promotional campaign: the poster, festival key art and a full social rollout of feed posts and stories for the launch. The same yellow script and quiet captions run from the opening frame to the last Instagram story, so the whole release reads as one endless dream.
